
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Several school districts in 41NBC’s viewing area have announced schedule changes for Friday, April 19 because of the threat of severe weather.
A list of closings, delays and other updates is posted below. We will add to the list as we receive reports.
Bleckley County Schools – Open. @BleckleySchools on Twitter says as of Thursday, April 18 at 2:19 p.m. that all schools will remain open with a regular bus schedule, but students will not be considered tardy as long as they arrive before 10 a.m.
Dodge County Schools – Closed. The district’s Facebook page reports all schools are closed. School will resume Monday.
Dooly County Schools – Closed. The district’s Facebook page reports all schools are closed, and all extra-curricular activities are canceled. All standardized testing will be made up at a later date. There will not be a school make-up day.
Pulaski County Schools – Open. The district’s Facebook page reports Superintendent Dr. Al Pollard says as of Thursday, April 18 at 6:25 p.m. that all schools will remain open, but students will not be considered tardy as long as they arrive before 10 a.m.
Taylor County Schools – Closed to students. The district’s website reports staff should report at 10 a.m. “weather permitting.”
Telfair County Schools – Closed. The district’s website reports schools are closed, and a Lunch and Learn scheduled at Telfair Elementary School will be held at a “later date.”
Twiggs County Schools – Closed. The district’s Facebook page reports schools will be closed.
Wheeler County Schools – Closed. All three schools in the district will be closed, according to each of their Facebook pages.
